VIRGIN RED x VIRGIN EXPERIENCE DAYS PROMOTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
INTRODUCTION
Hello there! These are the terms and conditions that apply if you enter our prize draw for a chance to win a year's worth of incredible experiences with Virgin Experience Days (the “Promotion” for short).
1. Acceptance of these terms: If you enter this Promotion, we’ll take that as a thumbs up to these terms and conditions and the entry instructions, so please make sure you read the terms carefully. If something doesn't sit right with you, please sit this one out.
2. Who can enter?: This Promotion is exclusively for members of the Virgin Red programme who live in the UK and are aged 18 or over when they enter the Promotion.
3. Entry restrictions: We want to keep things fair, so employees of Virgin Red Limited, Virgin Management Limited, Virgin Enterprises Limited, Virgin Experience Days Ltd, Playable ApS, and anyone else professionally connected with this Promotion, along with their immediate families, unfortunately, can’t enter.
4. When can I enter?: The Promotion opens on 25 October 2024 at 09:00am GMT and closes on 25 November 2024 at 23:59pm GMT (the “Promotion Period” for short). Any entries outside the Promotion Period won't make the cut.
HOW TO ENTER THE PROMOTION
5. For a chance to win, here’s what you need to do:
a) If you're not already part of the Virgin Red programme, sign up and accept the Programme Terms and Conditions.
b) Open up the Virgin Red app or head to the website, find the promotional tile and give it a tap.
c) Follow the instructions on the tile and answer the question correctly to be entered into the prize draw.
6. You’ll have one shot to win so make it count. And don’t worry – no purchase is necessary.
PRIZES AND WINNERS
7. Now for the exciting bit – the Prizes:
a) Three (3) lucky winners will each win 66,000 Virgin Points to redeem on:
a Virgin Experience Days’ “Canoe Along the Highest Aqueduct in the World for Two” experience; and
train travel worth up to £250 booked via Virgin Trains Ticketing using the ‘Apply Virgin Points to checkout’ button to cover your journey to your canoeing adventure!
b) To make the experience extra special, we’re also throwing in a one-night stay (in one double occupancy room) including breakfast at a hotel near the Aqueduct for each winner and their guest
(altogether, the “Prize").
8. The winners will be picked randomly from all eligible entries by an automated computer programme within seven (7) days after the end of the Promotion Period.
9. Keep your eyes on your inbox! Winners will be notified by email that they have won within fourteen (14) days after the end of the Promotion Period.
10. Prize Details: The winners will receive a promotional code via email to the email address linked to their Virgin Red account with instructions to allow them to credit the Virgin Points element of the Prize to their Virgin Red account. These Virgin Points can then be used to redeem the Virgin Experience Days’ “Canoe Along the Highest Aqueduct in the World for Two” experience and can be redeemed on train travel booked via Virgin Trains Ticketing. Make sure you use the code before the stated expiry date, otherwise the code will expire and the Virgin Points will be lost.
11. Life happens. If we can't reach a winner within five (5) working days, if a winner doesn’t accept their Prize, a winner isn’t eligible to win or we can’t verify their eligibility, the winner will forfeit their Prize and we might award the Prize to another winner, selected in the same way we’ve set out above.
12. Bear in mind: any extra costs and expenses that are not included in the Prizes are your responsibility, including any additional costs, insurance and taxes.
WHAT CONDITIONS DO I NEED TO BE AWARE OF?
13. A heads up: The Virgin Red Programme Terms and Conditions apply to anything you redeem on the Virgin Red app or website. As our friends at Virgin Experience Days provide the e-voucher which you can use on your experience, their general terms and conditions and any experience-specific terms and conditions expressed at the time of booking your experience will also apply. Remember – the e-voucher will be valid for 12 months from the date it’s issued to you, so get your calendars out and confirm your spot! Lastly, the Virgin Trains Ticketing general terms and conditions will apply to any train travel you buy with them.
14. We have the ultimate say in picking the winners, and our decision is final. We won’t enter into any correspondence, except with the winners.
15. There are no cash alternatives available. The Prizes are as described, and that's what you get. No passing them on or reselling them for cash. Unless we agree otherwise, the Prizes will only be awarded to the winners.
16. If you’re a winner, we want to shout about it! We might publish (or share if we get a request to membersupport@virgin.com) information to confirm that we awarded the Prizes – for example, the name and county of residence of the winners. If a winner wants to keep things private, simply drop us a line at red.dpo@virgin.com. But bear in mind that we still need to provide these details and the winning entries to the Advertising Standards Authority or an equivalent authority if they ask.
17. If you’re a lucky winner, you might also get a call or an email from us to join in on some promotional activities to celebrate your win – think website features and social media posts.
18. We want to keep things fair and square, so no entries from agents, third parties, syndicated entries or any other funny business please. This includes things like entries using computer macro, script or automated devices, and bulk entries.
19. We reserve the right to check who's playing by the rules, including by verifying their eligibility to enter, and to disqualify anyone who’s abusing or tampering with the Promotion, entering using fraudulent means or breaking these terms and conditions.
A FEW FINAL POINTS
20. We can't predict everything, and we're not responsible for any loss or damage that we couldn’t have foreseen or that results from things outside our control. That said, nothing in these terms is intended to remove or limit our responsibility for fraud or death or personal injury caused by our negligence. These terms also don’t affect any of your legal rights as a consumer.
21. The Promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with any social media platform where it is promoted and those social media platforms don’t have any responsibility in connection with the Promotion.
22. Sometimes things change, and we reserve the right to extend, withdraw, tweak or suspend the Promotion or these terms, including changing the Prizes, if things happen that are outside our control.
23. Your data is safe with us. All personal data that is submitted in connection with the Promotion will be used by use and our agents to run the Promotion, award the Prizes, check eligibility, and make sure everything's above board. All data will be used in line with current UK data protection laws and our Privacy Policy.
24. English law applies to the Promotion, these terms and any disputes that might happen in connection with them.
